STEP ONE: EDUCATE YOU
- A successful BOGO week starts with you being excited to learn all about the featured oils each day.
- Use BOGO week as a learning experience to discover oils or products you might not have otherwise. Already have experiences with the oils? Perfect! If not spend some time connecting to the brilliance and beauty of the oil and what it can do for you in your life right now. Start using the oil (go get it!) so you can gain an experience with it. If it’s an oil you don’t have yet, review the available resources to learn all about it!
- Have your posts scheduled for the morning hours.
STEP TWO: EDUCATE YOUR TEAM
- Build your team relationships. While you should be communicating with your team on a regular basis anyway, you can use BOGO week as a chance to reach out to your team (or potential team members.)
- Keep an eye on when the next BOGO is available and notify them with a personal message. Whether through text message or email, your team will know that you are looking out for them.
- Encourage your Builders. Hold a brief training for your Builders about how to use BOGOs to talk about dōTERRA with others, follow up, or strengthen their teams.
- Share with them the strategy you are looking to use (see Step 3) and create a system that you can support them.
- Have your leaders come up with ideas and the goals that they are wanting to achieve
- Work closely with any leader who is open to reaching for a new rank or bonus this month. If you don’t have leaders yet, this is a good time to see who rises. BOGO week brings out those who love oils and want to stock up. You can create a leader this week! Be open to the possibilities.
- Emphasize the importance of placing BOGO orders on LRP so everyone can earn product points, and this helps everyone with POW3 targets.
STEP THREE: SELECT YOUR BOGO STRATEGY
FIRST: Download your BOGO tracking sheet so that you are ready when you begin your orders. This will help you know what BOGOs you ordered, account you used, cost, etc. This replaces all sticky notes and that spot in your brain that is trying to remember it all. Dump all the details in this document and thank us later!

Always order these BOGO boxes on LRP (do the math on how many points will be earned just by using LRP orders.)
Educate your community as soon as BOGO’s are announced so they clearly see the benefit to choose chooses the Box option. As the week goes on, you will have more and more people wish they purchased the box. I highly recommend getting an extra for those requests.
Do you have anyone sitting on the fence? You can enroll them with a BOGO box kit!!! Amazing right? So now you are getting a fast start Bonus next week from that order. Be smart on where to place that volume for rank. This means you can order the maximum quantity on an enrollment order!!
Who is waiting to enroll and an amazing deal could tip them over to signing up? Make a list of all of these people. They will play a big part in your volume.
If you need more than the maximum quantity of BOGO boxes, you will want to use accounts of your very close friends and family. (Don’t be weird about it) You will only use your payment method, and you will ship them to you. Keep it simple. Their reward is you are earning them a ton of LRP points. *You never want to take an order from one leg and run it on a different spot on your team. That is stealing volume. No bueno friend. Keep the plants where you put them. Transplanting volume just leaves a mess everywhere.* If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it!
Maximize orders for volume and rank.
Group orders together. Some customers will prefer you order everything for them (i.e. my mother-in-law.) This is a great opportunity to group orders in areas that will allow you the chance to maximize your rank, power of 3 and monthly paycheck. Be smart, look for the holes in each leg.
BOGO boxes could easily take care of most of your customers. But, get so good at educating the value of the oils of the day so that some of your oily customers decide they need another 1 (or 5!) of that day’s BOGO.
Share the idea of getting an extra BOGO each day to away as GIFT! Now you are creating more volume.
Focus on spreading the love of the oils and how they need to get this great BOGO deal... and watch your customers respond!
All in: Classes and new enrollments
Use the above two strategies! And because you are working on hitting a rank, getting your power of 50, 250 or 1500 bonus, you can be smart and identify where volume is needed NOW. You can excite and empower your leaders in those areas to also work towards a new rank. Make note of the amount of volume you need to fill on certain legs of your team, break it down into small achievable chunks, and set a goal to reach it.
Now, find a hostess on those “weaker” legs that wants to earn a ton of free product points AND get a free hostess gift from you. In turn, you’ll grow the volume where you need it most. Set up and schedule a virtual class right now DURING BOGO week!!!
Also have you heard of FOMO? It is real! The fear of missing out on these amazing deals will drive most people to jump in. Use that to your advantage.
BOGOs are a great time to do classes because everyone wants something FREE, and you can give it in a BOGO! Identify your customers who love BOGOs (you know, the ones who buy one or two of everything ...) think how you can encourage them to reach out to their circle of influence to others that may want to get these great deals too. Call them! Let them know you have big goals for yourself to educate 10 new women and families with empowered wellness, and you would love their help.
The possibilities are endless! Be open to them! Ask for assistance from your partner/spouse, friends, family. Hitting a new rank is like applying for a big promotion, trying out for the team, etc. You got this!
STEP FOUR: EDUCATE YOUR COMMUNITY
- In a hyper-virtual world, the best way to educate and engage is to GO LIVE DAILY in your dōTERRA customer Facebook group.
- I know it may feel scary, but your people want to hear from YOU! Get uncomfortable! It’s worth it!
- People buy what they see value in. By communicating to your team what the BOGO is and how each oil can be utilized in their everyday routine, you’re conveying the value of the deal far beyond just the product names.
- In addition to going live, post a beautiful graphic or image with the day’s BOGO, add in your educational text and watch as people rush to get their order in.
"GOING LIVE" - Talking points:
- Touch on any health concerns or pain points that the BOGO oils can help with
- Talk about how you personally use them
- Share real life stories or experiences
- Explain any engagement games (see next page) and how they can participate to win prizes
- Share why you’re excited to get this specific BOGO at this great offer
ENGAGEMENT IDEAS
- Raffle off something each day for anyone who orders the BOGO of the day. Just have them comment below the graphic with a screenshot of their order and that enters them in-to the drawing. Then, let them know the winner will be announced by you the following day. It is fun to ask them what they are hoping to win too. This makes it easy to gift oils you know they are asking for.
- Do one BIG giveaway prize for anyone who orders the BOGO Box or at least one BOGO on their account each day. Make sure to announce this as early as possible so people know they have to order daily to get into the drawing. At the end of the week, have everyone who ordered simply comment below to confirm!
- Trick the algorithms by boosting your group engagement on the BOGO post of the day! Do a daily BOGO post that educates on the BOGO, share why you’re personally excited to get it, then add: WIN A BONUS PRIZE: To win our comment prize today, 1.) Read this post to learn about both oils and 2.) Comment with your favorite uses OR why you’re excited for today’s deal. I’ll randomly select 1 comment as a winner at 9:00 pm eastern for an awesome bonus prize!
- POST BOGO ENAGAGEMENT: Plan your after party now! Let them know you will be having an event to go over all the goodies of the week. Make it virtual! Give back to your community and share a powerful, educational eBook.
Tell Your Friends, Acquaintances + New Contacts!
- Something as good as FREE dōTERRA oils should not be kept a secret! Be sure to let your friends know that BOGO week is coming and the kinds of freebies they can expect. Help them get their own wholesale account.
- Use BOGO week as something new to talk about with people on your 100 names list. Share your excitement about what is currently going, and all the freebies they can get this week when they sign up. Bonus points if you share an actual oil experience with them as you get them excited about BOGOs!
- Attract new customers. Use your personal social media to share a post about each BOGO, making sure to talk about the benefits of the oils involved.
- Reach out to previous contacts. If there is someone you contacted before but you haven’t been sure how to reconnect again to follow up, do so now to share about BOGO week. Ask how they’re doing and let them know about the day’s BOGO promotion that “you couldn’t let them miss out on because it’s sooo good!” Don’t come across too polished, no one will respond! Remember you want to support them and empower them. No pushy car salesman tactics here!

CREATE YOUR OWN BOGO
Short on volume at the end of the month? Create your own BOGO and only offer it to the specific legs where you need the extra volume! You can bless the lives of your customers by allowing them to buy an oil from their Wishlist and you can use your points to send them a FREE oil. This works well because you know what they want. You can simply reach out and let them know you are extending a few random BOGOs as a way to give back to your favorite customers. Have them login to their account and order that first oil, you login to your account and ship the FREE oil to them using your points! WIN! WIN!
EXTRA BOGOS
If you ordered EXTRA BOGOs, create a post letting your community know you have extras and how to grab them before they’re gone. Please be aware of your team members and communicate! Never take volume away from them by doing this. Support each other by discussing this before you post

Excite your future customers. BOGOs are a BIG opportunity to attract new people and others that have been sitting on the fence with you. Nothing will get people to act faster than a great deal that is expiring in 24 hours.
Express your gratitude to your team and your community. You are a powerful creator! This week will inspire many people so express your sincere thanks to your customers and honor them for investing in their health.

BOGO TIP: How to turn a Bogo order into an enrollment:
Customer: Hi! Would you please order me one of today's bogos?
You: Absolutely! I'd love to get that ordered for you. There's a really cool deal I think you might be interested in, would it be ok if I shared that info with you?
Customer: Of Course!
You (use shift/space to make a break between your paragraphs when you send this message): Ok cool - so there are always three ways to purchase essential oils, and the retail option is the most expensive. I hate to see anyone waste money!
The second way is a wholesale customer account - it's like Costco card for oils. You pay $35 and then for the next year you get 25% off everything, access to our oily community for resources and support, and ME guiding you every step of the way.
